Chuck Wagon Chili
Capture the essence of the frontier with Chuck Wagon Chili Mix, combining hearty beef, bold spices, and a touch of heat for a chili that's robust and satisfying.
- 1 tbsp. olive oil
- 1 lb. stew meat, cut into ½-inch cubes
- 1 yellow onion, diced
- 1 lb. ground beef
- 1 cup diced onion
- ½ cup diced jalapeño
- 1 packet 6666 Chuck Wagon Chili Mix
- 2 cups beef broth
- 1 ½ cups diced tomatoes
- In large pot, heat oil over medium heat and brown stew meat. Add ground beef and cook 7 minutes, breaking up beef, until browned. Stir in onion and jalapeño and cook 5 minutes, stirring occasionally.
- Add 6666 Chuck Wagon Chili Mix and cook 2 minutes. Stir in beef broth and bring to a boil over high heat. Reduce heat and simmer, covered, 1 hour.
- Add tomatoes and continue to cook, covered 45 minutes or until beef is very tender. Tip: For thicker chili, remove cover for the last 15 to 20 minutes of cook time and simmer until desired consistency. If desired, stir in 1 can (15.5 oz.) rinsed and drained kidney beans and cook 2 minutes or until heated through.
